The LightCities Research and Development Institute
We intend to establish an R & D Institute for the following three reasons:
1. to centralise the major planning on this enormous project of building the future Light Cities of the world and coordinate all the work simultaneously being done in 7 different locations around the world.
2. In addition it will function as a central location for inventing new IP for the project on an on going basis eg identify, commission and develop the new communications, transport, building materials, technologies, products and new services required for a fully automated, self-sufficient Arcoplex with its own unique social and economic structure.
3. Act as the initial centre for the AI of the LightCities. This is in a sense “the brain” of the body of the LightCities. This centre will eventually move to a different location, but initially it will be conceived, invented and implemented at the Research Institute.
All the above projects will be accomplished simultaneously.
We will employ one of the world’s leading human resources companies to find and engage the many talented people needed to accomplish these goals and also to make close connections with other research groups, universities for exchange of top personnel.
We will need to purchase or lease a university or similar institution, that is already fully functioning. Building the ideal Institute is out of the question as we need to commence work immediately in a central location.
The Institute will need to accommodate people either off site or on site for as long as is practicable. This means we will need to purchase accommodation nearby. Alternatively it may be preferable to purchase a nearby resort that has substantial events and function rooms.
We envision an incredible intellectual milieu that can be compared to other exciting times and places such as the writers, poets, politicians and artists of the “salons” in France, the philosophers and scientists of the early renaissance movement, New York in the days of Andy Warhol and early alternative art and rock culture, even the days of the scholars and mystics of the Library of Alexandria, for each of these movements were on the cutting edge of something new and extraordinary in human endeavour and brought together all kinds of people with different gifts.
We will invite people who are scholars in all fields but also people without degrees who will qualify themselves simply by the wonderful unique contribution they will make.. …truly people with amazing hearts and minds ….who will create the new extraordinary cities of the future…..the LightCities.
